Tosche Station Finally Opens!

Tosche Station finally opened its doors, and boy was I excited to be there. So excited, I was the first person there.

The doors opened shortly after 11:00 AM. Because this was a soft opening, the store wasn't 100% the way the team at Tosche Station wanted the store, but for now, it was a nice selection of vintage toys, comic books, trading cards and video games.

Of course, I didn't walk away empty handed. Not in a store such as this.

I've always wanted to start collecting Playmates Toys The World of Simpsons figures, but the right opportunity never arose. I mean, who wants to collect Simpsons figures without starting their collection off just right...

Marge and Maggie only came packed in with a section of The Simpson's house, and fortunately, Tosche Station had this too, just not in the box. Okay for me, since my goal would be to open them anyway.

And open them, I did.

These figures lack articulation, but make up for it with some of the greatest accessories I've ever seen included with an action figure line.

I think Homer is my favorite, but then again, he was my favorite in the show too.

I haven't decided yet, but I may knee to wade into this entire line. Having the family only makes me all the more excited to have more.

The next thing I grabbed was a couple of figures from the DC Super Heroes line to add to my Batman 1989 movie collection.

I also nabbed up a couple of comics to add to my 80's theme collection. Only number one's, of course!

The last thing I got from Tosche Station was this great boxed NES Advantage. This was my go to controller of choice back in the days of my NES gaming.

Inside the box was all the pamphlets and paperwork originally released with the controller.

I like Tosche Station, but the place isn't without faults. I'm not going to make any comments on this directly, because I don't want to offend the fine folks behind the store. However, I will be a little more cautious in future visits.

If you find yourself in the Springfield, Virginia area, do take a moment to stop by their store. If for nothing else, it's worth a browse.

    1. If I had a do over, I wouldn't have bought those Simpsons figures - At least not at the price they were asking.
