When I last met Rick Leonardi, it was at Big Lick 2023. He signed a ton of stuff for me back then, and a lot of this was driven by his very generous price of just $1.00 per signature. He also created the first of what would become a series of commission pieces in my Peter Parker: Decisions.
Unfortunately, Rick was no longer signing for a buck, but instead, $5.00 each. Still not bad. Honestly, I didn't have too much for him, but the below doesn't represent everything. Mainly because these remaining unshown items were multi-signed. So for now, I'll just focus on those with just his signature.
First up were two Pedigree edition sets. In hindsight, these were not wise to get signed. He did them both with paint pens, and just from being in the bag together, the blue one has several scratches in it. Fortunately, I had some Treasury Edition bags and boards left, and was able to protect them when I got home. But, I don't see the signatures surviving long term.
Next up was a different Pedigree edition. Unlike the above which are encased in vacuum sealed plastic, this one is simply in a sealed bag. As such, I had him sign directly on the plastic.
Last up, for this batch, was a book he actually didn't work on. What The 26 is not only the last issue in the short lived series, but featured Spider-Ham 1588. My thinking was no Spider-Man 2099, no Spider-Ham 1588, so I wanted his autograph on it.
From there, I kind of bounced back and forth from side to side of the show. A little shopping here, a few signatures there. All and all, just enjoying the brief early entry hour to get things accomplished before the crowd bombarded the place.
