Birthday Outings, Part III: Gateway Comics And Toys

As my birthday continued, so too did the outings. Did you see those two posts from earlier today? If not, check them out!

Our next stop was literally across the parking lot from the video arcade to Gateway Comics And Toys. This place, much like the arcade, looks very generic from the outside.

But once you step inside...Well, see for yourself.

In hindsight, I wish I would have taken another photo of something in the image below.

If you look on the top shelf, at the items in frames, these are all autographed pieces for sale. The one all the way on the left is a poster for Queen's Innuendo, the final studio album released prior to Freddie's death in 1991. For a mere $5,000.00 you could have this poster, which is signed by all four members.

As I wandered through the store, I made piles of things that I was going to be ultimately purchasing.

The below comics were intended to fill in gaps in my Marvel Age collection. Unfortunately, this is why you carry a list, and don't buy from memory. I actually only needed one of these. Man, what a waste of money that all was...

I'd never seen a coloring book like this, but as soon as I did, I knew I wanted it. This thing is literally the size of a poster! Easily two feet tall.

I also bought some bags, boards, and another comic box, but those are just generic supplies, so I didn't take a photo.

I did, however, also come here once before, earlier in the year, for Free Comic Book Day. It was here that I also took a ton of photos, and since I never posted them, here those are too.

With the trip to the comic store checked off, it was time to continue on with the day's adventures, but that will be posted a bit later tonight. I hope you check back.
