Birthday Outings, Part I: Massaponax Flea Market

The day started early, I'm talking 4:30 AM. That's the typical seven day a week schedule we're on. We get up, feed the dog, give him his insulin, take him for a walk, and on most days, then run right out the door for work, come back and repeat the feeding, meds and walk, only to then shortly thereafter be back in bed.

Well, with today being not only a weekend, but my birthday, rather than go to work, we spent the day doing a lot of outings. The main point of origin was Fredericksburg, Virginia, but the locations were aplenty. With my brother in tow, having left his house at 4:00 AM to drive three hours to join us, we took off for Massaponax Flea Market.

Truthfully, it's a place I'd been once before, but it seemed like a good location to start, and one that intrigued all three of us. This place is not only massive, but there's something for everyone! It's both indoors and outdoors, with multiple sheds and shacks set up everywhere. Just when you think you've seen it all, you find out you haven't even started.

Naturally, in a place like this, I didn't leave empty handed. I found a couple Ozzy Osbourne CD's from his later releases, and decided to pick them up.

I considered getting a full box of Fleer Batman Return cards, which the guy selling it only wanted $10.00 for, but ultimately ended up skipping on it for two reasons. First, I forgot about it on the way out. Second, I really didn't want or need it. If I'm going to add any Batman / Batman Returns cards to my 1989 display case, it's going to be the classic Topps ones.

I also don't know if I ever posted this, but my first time there, I also picked up a few things.

With everyone done walking through the place, we loaded up into the car and headed off to our next location. Check back later for that!
