Title: Marvel Team-Up
Issue Number: 34
Release Date: June 1975
Highlights
- First appearance of Luis Dominquez, and Ralph McElroy
- Death of Luis Dominquez, and Ralph McElroy
- Reference is made to The Amazing Spider-Man 36, 144, and 145
- Reference to Roger Moore, and Bob Hope
- Valkyrie reams out Nighthawk for sympathizing with Meteor Man (prior issue), and not going after him
- Jeramiah decides he'd rather go after Valkyrie
- They really hammer home the sexism towards Valkyrie, making sure to point out she's a woman at every chance
- Odd cut from chapter two to three with a very noticeable gap in how we got from point A to B
- Just as the action starts, the story abruptly wraps up
- Jeramiah is a slow build up - This is the second issue we've seen him in where he talks a good game, but doesn't do anything, or even interact with Spider-Man
Oddities
- Editor's Day Off: "This for you, Pal!"

OG Valkyrie is a favorite of mine, probably because she was in The Defenders which I read because Dr Strange is my favorite Marvel character. I was so annoyed when Jane Foster took up the name, like, you're not THE Valkyrie, get outta here!
ReplyDelete100% agree. Marvel was notorious for randomly giving mantels to random characters that they shouldn't have had.
