• Klaw enters his own machine, beginning his transformation from human to sound - But that is a cliffhanger story for another time (The Fantastic Four issue 56)

Low Points

• Black Panther built the mechanize Wakanda jungle on a, "Lark".

Oddities

• Despite The Fantastic Four being attacked for no reason by Black Panther in the prior issue, suddenly he's a good guy and they're friends?
  Wait, now all of a sudden he's a good guy? I'm glad, but what's with the flip flop?
• Black Panther can sense that Klaw has returned for a second attack after ten years?

• Cliff hanger ending - I really didn't want to read another issue for the full story

• Wait...Black Panther is a bad guy?

Highlights

• First appearance of Doctor Victor Von Doom
• Origin of Doctor Doom
• Turns out Thing was Blackbeard the pirate - Interesting plot twist

Low Points

• Plot is incredibly stupid: Doctor Doom has created a time machine, and wants Mr. Fantastic, Thing and Human Torch to go back in time and steel Blackbeard's treasure - While he holds Invisible Girl hostage 
• Thing says he wants to stay in the past as Blackbeard and throw Reed and Johnny overboard in a lifeboat

Oddities

• Reed and Johnny strip off their pirate clothes to reveal their Fantastic Four uniforms underneath - Except for the fact that Johnny was wearing short sleeves and you could see his arms and hands, and Reed wasn't wearing his gloves either

• Origin of The Fantastic Four and Mole Man

Low Points

• Ben gets angry with Reed and shouts at Sue that he'll show her she loves the wrong man - How you gonna try and steel the man's woman?
• Too much origin, very little battling with Mole Man and his creatures

Oddities

• Susan Storm calls Ben Grimm a coward for saying he won't fly Reed Richard's rocket into space - Ben immediately changes his mind. A lot of characters in the Marvel Universe appear to have Marty McFly Syndrome - "What's the matter, McFly? Chicken?"
