Title: The Spectacular Spider-Man
Issue Number: 148

Highlights

The skeletal remains of Ned Leeds, Gwen Stacy, and Spider-Man rise from the ground, and Betty sees all of this, though she's miles away in Flash Thompson's apartment

Betty tells Flash about her vision, and Flash tells her that he wishes Spider-Man were there because he's his hero

On the roof, "Spider-Man" appears before Flash, and starts fighting with him, while in the apartment, the remains of Ned Leeds arrive, scaring Betty

"Spider-Man" webs Flash to an antenna, and removes the lightning rod from the roof, making Flash the potential new conduit
Inside, Betty whimpers for help, but the ghost of Ned Leeds appears to her, and tells her she needs to stop depending on everyone else for strength, but instead to help herself

Back on the roof, Flash breaks free of the webbing, and realizes that the fact that he broke free means this isn't the real Spider-Man, and the fight continues

The demons reveal themselves to both Ned and Flash, and Betty explodes the apartment with a gas heater, fleeing with Flash at the last moment
Outside, the skies clear, and the demons vanish

The Inferno storyline ends, but...

Low Points

Without reading the full Inferno storyline, everything just resolves itself in the span of one panel with no explanation

Oddities

Editor's Day Off: The narration from Flash Thompson's thoughts reads, "I heard a dog whimper like like that once"

The young kid Tony makes his return, now trying to be a super hero, instead of a street gang member
Tony finds a secret tunnel with weird jets inside
Spider-Man sneaks into the hospital room of Black Abbott, only to inadvertently have the room hit by a missile from an unknown enemy
Black Abbott's origin is told, and the man in the hospital turns out to be one of his apostles
At the Baxter Building, Johnny shows his girlfriend Alicia the symbiote in its prison, and she says she feels sorry for it being trapped in a cage on a strange planet
Black Abbott's apostle convinces Thor to take him to his master's hideout to defeat the villain, but it turns out to be a trick, and Thor is ambushed by Abbott and his other apostles
Tony sees Spider-Man, and tells him about the secret tunnel, leading Spider-Man to Black Abbott
Spider-Man frees Thor, and after he recovers, he blasts all of Abbott's apostles with a blast of lightening
As Abbott flees, he sees Tony, and takes him hostage, but only briefly, as Spider-Man rescues him
