- The Rose has set up a room for Hobgoblin in his headquarters where the villain can keep spare costumes, grenades, and in general, have an extra place to go

- Harry Osborn finds his father's journals hidden in rolltop desk
- A small flying machine infiltrates the Baxter Building, and drills a hole into the side of the symbiote's containment cell, setting it free - It immediately heads out into the night to find Spider-Man
- Hobgoblin knocks out Harry, takes the journal, and imprisons him with the women - All while Spider-Man watches from the shadows, intent on tailing the villain back to his hideout, and the now three captured people
- Harry arms himself with the Hobgoblin's grenades, and goes to toe with him
- Spider-Man beats Hobgoblin into submission, but then has to chose between him, and rescuing his friends - He chooses the latter
- Hobgoblin discovers the journal has no new information, and in a rage destroys it, vowing revenge on Spider-Man
