  • The events of this issue take place during those of Web Of Spider-Man 17, ending with the same final panel
  • Black Cat explains that she had to create a new costume to hid her broken nose
  • Black Cat attempts to break into Dr. Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum to confront him about removing her powers, but is blown from the home by a strong wind
  • Alex Woolcot runs away from home after accidentally killing his father, by turning him into a pile of ash, which his mother unknowingly vacuums up
  • At the home of Robbie Robertson, things are not going well with his son, and unanticipated announcement of his wife
  • Black Cat sneaks into the Sanctorum again, only to end up back outside through a door that disappears
  • Foreigner breaks into Black Cat's apartment, and waits for her
  • Doctor Strange tries to tell Black Cat that her powers aren't gone, but rather have mutated, but she refuses to listen
    • Doctor Strange ponders why she would try so hard to see him, but then simply leave when he offers to speak with her
  • Foreigner wants the gold notebook back that Black Cat stole from him, but she informs him it was melted down, and used on her new costume
  • Robbie chokes on an apple, and Randy's wife saves his life
  • The lights go out during Black Cat and Foreigner's fight, and she realizes her powers have mutated, as she can see clearly in the dark
  • Rather than kill her, Foreigner offers her a proposition, to help him kill Spider-Man, which she agrees to

Oddities
  • Black Cat has her all new costume on page one, yet she's in her old getup on the cover
  • Why would she have to create a whole costume just to cover her nose? Just redesign the mask
  • Editor's Day Off: When Doctor Strange finally allows Black Cat to meet him, he says, "Doctor Strange at you service."

Highlights

  • First appearance of Professor Power, AKA Anthony Power
  • Wolverine hones his sneak skills by tracking a deer, and when he gets right up next to it undetected...he taps it on the butt and watches it run away, simply pleased with himself for being so stealthy that he could sneak up on it unnoticed
  • An army of centurion armor clad soldiers approaches Wolverine, and tell him he's trespassing, and will be brought to their master to punish him - He dispatches many of them until he's gassed and knocked out
  • Reference is made to Captain America 286, and The Defenders 106
  • The centurions attack Spider-Man in the city, hoping to capture him too, but he escapes, hitting their jet sleds with a spider tracer
  • Powers has a giant robot that tells the two heroes that a plan loaded with gas is headed to a prison, and army headed to a town, alternatively, he also gives them the route to his master, and tells them to choose
  • Wolverine tells Spider-Man to go to the town, while he heads after the master, telling Spider-Man to forget about the prison
  • Spider-Man says he's heading for the prison, forcing Wolverine to head for the town
