Part magic kit, part toy, all kinds of fun! The Magical Burger King is one of the very few licensed toys out there based on Burger King's mascot of the same name.

For starters, this fantastic set contains a twenty inch part plush, part plastic Burger King "doll". It included a cloth which with a little "magic" could change from green to blue.

Two packed in accessories included a magic Burger King ring for you to wear, as well as a palm size Whopper which with a little more "magic" you could make disappear.

Oddly enough, what the figure didn't include was the table which is prominently shown on the box - A real pity as this is certainly a predominant aspect of the box.

Unlike most Knickerbocker toys, The Magical Burger King is fairly easy to obtain, and for a reasonable price. In the box it typically sells for between $20.00 and $40.00. Not bad considering other Knickerbocker items can set you back upwards of a thousand dollars or more for one item.

There are few musicals we would actually admit to liking, and oddly enough Annie is one of them. The film featured a great cast, memorable and catchy songs, and a story which leaves even the hardest of men weeping for the young orphan. It's a classic for a reason.

Since the film debuted, there have been numerous products released to coincide with it. Once such item is Knickerbocker's line of six inch dolls (they also made a miniature figure set). The line featured five different dolls (plus a variant of Annie which contained a locket), numerous sets of clothing, a vehicle and a massive playset.

While the series covers the main cast of characters Annie eventually adopts as a family, it doesn't veer much beyond this with the exception of Annie's friend and fellow orphan, Molly. We would have loved to seen characters based on Carol Burnett's Miss Hannigan, and Tim Currey's "Rooster". Even then, that's just the tip of the iceberg as compared to the numerous characters which could have been included.

Still, if you're a fan of Annie, you'll find something to appreciate with this line.

Lord of the Rings (Knickerbocker)

Knickerbocker's Lord of the Rings line is by no means for the casual collector. If you were lucky enough to pick these up back in 1979, and still have them, then you're sitting on a rather valuable collection.

These days buying one figure mint on card can easily set you back anywhere from $400.00 to $1,200.00. If that wasn't bad enough, they're also incredibly hard to find still in the package. The horses are even more difficult to track down.

The figures are based on Ralph Bakshi's film from 1978. The film itself caused a huge uproar for fans when it was first released because despite Bakshi's desire for it to be designated as Part I, the studio refused to do so. The end result was numerous fans that felt cheated when they received only part of the full story.

Bakshi would of course go on to do bigger and better thing, American Pop (highly recommended if you haven't seen it), Fire and Ice and Cool World. However he has not been able to escape the fans of Lord of the Rings. To this day they still voice to him that he never finished his film, to which he simply replies, "That's right!"
