The 12 Days After Christmas Of Peg People - Day 12

Well, today's the day. The last day of all those fantastic little red bags from George of G.I. Jigsaw. The final contestant be this one...

...and the final figures these.

John Jameson

The Owl

Disruptor

Gargoyle

Spider Hulk

Iron Fist

Power Man

Adding them all to the checklist, you may ask, is the series completed? Did we make it to the finish line? We did not, but that's okay. To say I was sad would be a lie, as well as rude to George. I mean, come on. He literally churned out close to a hundred figures for this awesome Christmas box. Only the biggest jerk on Earth would be upset about that.

Just that last page, and three final pegs. J. Jonah Jameson Sr. (the elderly father of J. Jonah Jameson, and grandfather to John Jameson), Cosmic Spidey, as seen in the pages of The Spectacular Spider-Man 158 and 159, and what's become the Iron Man series Mark IV armor. Then we're there! At the finish line. Hazah! But honestly, I wouldn't hate George if he was like, "I'm done! Leave me alone, and lose my number!"

The 12 Days After Christmas Of Peg People - Day 11

We're down to the last handful of Peg People from G.I. Jigsaw's amazing Christmas gift. With just two bags left to choose from, the lucky winner was this...

Eight new Pegs inside, include...

Spider-Man (Stealth Suit)

Beyonder

Ricochet

Dominic Fortune

Tygra

Agony

Sister Sun is going to need some sanding. She stands a little crooker for some reason.

Sister Sun

Brother Power

Naturally, we have a good ol' update to the checklist.

Tomorrow I'll open the last bag. There are ten figures remaining on the checklist, and I'm honestly wondering if there are that many in the last bag. It doesn't feel any heavier than the others, so we'll see.

The 12 Days After Christmas Of Peg People - Day 10

Downer. We're on day ten of the wonderful bags of Peg People that George of G.I. Jigsaw gifted me. It's a downer because that means there are only two bags left as of today.

The series, as a whole, is wrapping up with each bag. It's been an awesome journey, and one which I never imagined would happen. I seriously expected George to tell me I was crazy, and to pound sand.

Today's bag featured the following:

Moondragon

The Jack Of Hearts

Prodigy (Spider-Man)

The good ol' mailman to the Fantastic Four...

Willie Lumpkin

Mix Hydro-Man and Sandman together, and you get...

It's true. It happened in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man 217.

Mud-Thing

I guess the Mark II, III, and IV, are going to be Iron Man on the checklist. No big deal. These may not be the Spider-Man versions they were intended to be, but they are still cool. No Peg People is a bad Peg People. I also noticed that George did the Marvel Hornet character, instead of the intended Spider-Man version. Also not a big deal. He has creative license to do what he wants with this series. He is, after all, doing me the favor.

Iron Man Mark II

Shang Chi

Just 18 figures left to go. Exciting, but sad, all at the same time.

Well, until tomorrow.

The 12 Days After Christmas Of Peg People - Day 9

Whoo!!!! Day nine of that amazing box of Peg People what George of G.I. Jigsaw gave me for Christmas! I asked him the other day, "Did you finish the checklist?" To which he responded, "How does the checklist look?" Cryptic...I really do think at this point he may have. Three bags left (after today), and only twenty-five left on the checklist. Must resist the urge to rip the other three open right now.

Instead, let's focus on today's bag!

Today's lucky winner was this one. Looks familiar, no?

Liz Allen

With all these variations of suits George has done for me, perhaps someone will go back to the contest that nobody entered, and win. Look to the Peg People!

Spider-Man (Fantastic 5 Suit)

Killraven

Razorback

No disrespect to Samuel L. Jackson, but get out of here. This is my Nick Fury!

Nick Fury

George's rendition of Cletus Kasady is spot on, but oh how it makes me want a set of Oingo Boingo figures now...This could totally pass as Danny Elfman.

Cletus Kasady

Lasher

Stilt-Man

The question of the day: Is it too early to unveil the new checklist format / series name? George and I talked about expanding beyond the original checklist when he got done. Whether or not he will, we'll see. Obviously that's totally up to him. He has asked to see all the new names I've added, which of course aren't included here since I haven't formally made a checklist, list a standard list, which I lost, and had to start over...

If George did want to do more, it would definitely be a fine tuned checklist. Mainly just a clean up of the obvious omissions in the Marvel Universe (Conan, Cable, Gambit, Rogue, Elektra, Beta Ray Bill, Starlord, Goort, etc.). It wouldn't be anywhere near the deep dive he did for me in the Spider-Verse. Even if he were up for it, that's just not feasibly for me, space wise.

Seriously, everything George has done for me has been uber generous. If he stopped here, I would still be more than ecstatic for what he's done. He single handedly created the toy line I've always wanted from Hasbro, but never got. Thanks, George! Truly.
